Innovative Level and Gameplay Design

In close collaboration with Double Fine Production’s design team, Virtuos supported the level creation process for Kiln’s “Quench” mode, as well as additional game modes developed by the Virtuos team. Our teams established unique gameplay mechanics for each map through blueprint scripting, increasing player engagement while keeping true to Double Fine’s creative vision.

Enhanced UI

Virtuos’ engineering teams implemented new UI systems to support evolving gameplay and revamped existing menus to improve accessibility and user experience. Alongside UI integration, the art teams delivered polished visual assets that ensure stylistic consistency and a clean, engaging interface.

Immersive Environment Art

Virtuos also produced a variety of prop and environment art across multiple distinct locations, enriching the game’s visual storytelling. Our artists focused on crafting assets that not only deepen visual detail but also enhance the core gameplay flow and environmental design clarity, contributing to a more immersive player experience.

Virtuos brought close multidisciplinary co-development expertise to support Double Fine Productions’ vision of a unique multiplayer brawler, helping their team deliver a richer gameplay experience and a more polished game for release.
